On June 17th, the third in our series of three ACCT Let’s talk… webinars took place with the purpose of Advancing Continence Care Together from a holistic perspective. Again, renown lecturers and specialists helped us take a closer look at bladder and bowel management, this time with a focus on the Self with Professor Anton Emmanuel, Dr. Jalesh Panicker and Mrs Collette Haslam. Highlights from ACCT Webinar on TAI

On Tuesday, February 9th the ACCT Webinar: Transanal irrigation (TAI) – a solution for constipation and fecal incontinence took place. During one hour we heard Professors Jan Tack and Anton Emmanuel together with Clinical Nurse Lead Bev Collins discuss how Transanal Irrigation (TAI) could be a possible management option for a wider group of patients and how to improve adherence to the therapy. Sun Jung Oh et al present one of the largest cross-sectional, population based online surveys in the US with the aim to determine the prevalence and predictors of individuals seeking healthcare for their constipation and the use of and satisfaction with over-the-counter medications in treating constipation.

Wellspect study grants for nurses for 2021

Did you know that Wellspect supports nurses who want to do research into  problems related to bladder or bowel? Since 2015, we have offered the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Nurses Study Grant and the European Society of Paediatric Urology (ESPU) Nurses research Grant since 2018.
